Specification:

A specially designed Zener diode which is optimized to operate in the breakdown region is known as “Zener Diode”.

The ordinary rectifier and small signal diodes are never intentionally operated in the breakdown region because this may damage them. On the other hand, Zener diode are only operated in the breakdown region. Therefore , Zener diode are cryptically designed to have a sharp breakdown voltage. By varying the dropping level of silicon can produce Zener diodes with breakdown to voltages from about 2V to 200V.

• There are two rotatory knobs on the panel ,one is for voltage control and other is for resistance control.
