Specification: The viscosity apparatus is consists of an iron stand of three rods on strong base and also consists of a deep graduated borosilicate glass tube. The lower end of the acrylic tube is closed by a rubber cork. This Apparatus works on the principle to determine the resistance to flow at different shear rates. When a spherical body moves down through an infinite column of highly viscous liquid it drags the layer of the liquid in contact with it. As a result, the body experiences a retarding force.
