OPERATING MANUAL In this experiment we will learn when a body slide or roll over the surface of another body and opposing force came into play called frictional force. It is self adjusting in nature. There is always a limit beyond which the force of friction does not increase even when applied force of friction is called limiting friction. The force of limiting friction (F) is directly proportional to the normal reaction (R) between two surfaces. With the help of appropriate formula we can find the value of coefficient of limiting friction.
