Ø  Sodium Vapour Lamp: SOX Lamp (Low Pressure Sodium Vapor Lamp) emits light at 589 nm and 589.6 nm, which is useful for wavelength calibration or resolution regulation in physics labs. When the lamp is switched on, it initially emits a dim pink light to warm the sodium metal inside the tube. As the sodium vaporizes, the lamp gradually turns into the typical bright orange color.
