Triple beam balance is an instrument used to measure mass exactly. It names reference to its three beams. Where the middle beam is the largest beam, front beam is the smallest beam and the last beam is the medium beam. This triple beam balance can measure up to 610g. The difference in sizes of beam shows that the difference in weight and readings scale of each beam. The reading of last beam is 100g, reading of middle beam is 500g and reading of first beam is 10g. The instrument is made of metal and also having stainless steel pan for measuring weight. The sliding riders are placed on the beams to indicate the mass in grams which is present on the pan. Pointer marks are given to equal point of the mass on the scale and beam . Before using the instrument we have to check or set the instrument on the zero mark of the given scale with the help of zero adjustment knob.
