The Potentiometer is an instrument used to measure the unknown voltage by comparing it with the known voltage. This Potentiometer is made up of sunmica top with a wooden base. In this potentiometer the terminals given for the connections are made of brass . The potentiometer wire makes contact with the wire and cell. A jockey provided on the top when slides over It can be use used to determine the emf and internal resistance of the given cell and also used to compare the emf of different cells.
