The B-H Curve Apparatus is usually used to describe the magnetization properties of such materials by characterization the permeability which is defined as ; where and represent the magnetic flux density in tesla (T). The magnetic field intensity in ampere per meter (A/m) respectively.

The B-H Curve or magnetization curve is the graph plotted between magnetic flux  density (B) and magnetizing force (H). The B-H Curve indicates the manner in which the magnetic flux density varies with the change in magnetizing force.
